"The End of Suburbia" - film showing

Date : Tuesday, 2nd February 2010

Location : Harmondsworth Community Centre, School Road, UB7 0AU

Meet new group Transition Heathrow

From 7pm-9.30pm a new group, Transition Heathrow, will be screening their film "The End of Suburbia", which discusses the impact of dwindling energy supplies on our communities.

There will also be food and drinks and a chance to talk to members of the group, some of whom have moved into Harlington to support Heathrow villagers.

Transition Heathrow has been set up to look at how local commmunities, dominated by an international airport, will deal with the changes caused by the decline in oil production and moves to prevent catastrophic climate change.

Trust me, despite the serious topic, it'll be much more fun than it sounds!
