The government's attitude to the destruction of thriving communities was demonstrated in the DfT's Consultation Summary Document. This 15-page booklet and 8-page response form, does not include a single map - not even to show the site of the proposed runway!
Sipson village's total obliteration was summed up in less than five lines. Cherished homes are simply "properties"; The people living there, discarded. There are no government plans to help those displaced find somewhere else to live because they are considered the responsibility of Spanish-owned BAA.
It should not be forgotten that Heathrow expansion also affects those left to live with the consequences of uncontrained aviation growth.
These pages feature ordinary people who find themselves in the extraordinary position of being told to witness the devastation of their surroundings because their own government, for no reason but profit, states it is "right and necessary".
